DO YOU BELIEVE IN FAIRIES.

For christmas Matty gave me a book from the 1940's called 'Fairies, A book of Real Fairies'. It's about two cousins who in 1917 England took a series of 5 photos allegedly proving the existence of fairies. It turned into a huge deal after the photos were sent to an author who visited the girls and after getting experts to examine the photos concluded they were genuine and fairies did exist! The book inspired hundreds of people to write in also sharing there fairy stories...

It wasn't until the 1980's that the girls admitted that the photos were faked using cardboard cutouts. They'd drawn the fairies themselves and propped them up using hat pins! So funny to think photography was such a new thing back then and what seems so obvious now won over the pro's then... Lots of people still question whether the photos were authentic despite the girls confession.. Believe what you will, we can all dream...

ARM CANDY

So I finally have this little treasure hanging off my arm! Matt let me pay it off on Sunday. Made a few modifications fringe wise.. Got going with the scissors and trimming... very happy with the result. hopefully this will keep the fringe obsession at bay for awhile! x

FRESH SIGHTS

I've been thinking on the happenings of last year as 2012 begins and I think its been rather an adventurous year.
Got married.
Went to Thailand
Moved into our own little house
Learnt how to film
Leant endless new information about film cameras and such via husby
Learnt how to dental assist
Filmed my first wedding
Started blogging
And had two hospital stints

Would probably have preferred to skip the last one but none the less it all adds to lifes discovery. Stoked for what this year will bring...

FRINGE FEST

I just put this little treasure on layby. I think it is actually my dream bag. If I was to design a bag I hope it would be as dreamy as this. It's definitely got the fringe covered. I seem to be drawn to fringe of late. i may need to do abit of fringe trimming- with my height and this length, some floor skimming could be in action.. Can't wait till it's hanging off my arm!

I am so excited about this movie! 'My week with Marilyn'. The story of a short time in Marilyns life while she was filming 'The Prince and The Showgirl'.
Im not sure if I'm sold on Michelle Williams yet for Marilyn but eager to watch it for myself-  I so hope she can carry it off... check it out x

CHRISTMAS 2011

hello babes. I am back. Back from our two week stint in NZ.
was a sweet little getaway but only come round in the second week.  it seemed NZ had forgotten which season it was in due to about 6 straight days with rain.
